BIOCHEMICAL AND CELL-BASED ASSAY SCIENTISTSOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA Project Description:
The candidate will be responsible for executing BSL2 cell-based assays using automated liquid handlers in support of oncology drug discovery.
Reliable and reproducible data collection and record keeping (ELN) are essential, and compliance with all lab safety guidance is required.
This person will support multiple programs and interact with diverse project teams.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Biology or related discipline (Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, etc.
) and 3-5 years of BSL2 cell culture and assay development/execution experience are required.
Cell based assay experience requiredFamiliarity with assay automation and the use of automated liquid handlers (ex:
Echo, Bravo, Multidrop Combi) is highly desired.
In addition, the candidate should have a good understanding of various bioassay formats (fluorescence, luminescence, etc.
)The use of appropriate plate readers to derive primary assay data, and the basic principles for data analysis.
Attention to details, high degree of organization, and ability to work on different projects in parallel is required.
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with multidisciplinary colleagues is important.
This 6
month position starts ASAP.
