The Position:


Senior Manager, Manufacturing, Engineering and CMO Applications:
The team is part of the Global Solution Center (GSC) within Manufacturing IT in Pharma Informatics' Global Business Functions (FPP) organization. These teams provide services and solutions to our Pharma Global Technical Operations (PT) business function. These solutions include:
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Calibration Management, CAPEX Portfolio Management, vendor and custom solutions, as well as integration to various internal and external systems.


The Senior Manager will drive customer demand management, people management, project management, solution development, maintenance, enhancement, and operational support. In collaboration with the business and IT business partners, s/he will develop strategies and actionable plans that maximize the ROI from the use of our solutions.


The Senior Manager is accountable for the management and leadership of a team of IT professionals located in South San Francisco, California. S/He is also accountable for management of shared services resources including outsourced resources - both onsite and offsite. This position is based in South San Francisco.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop, manage, communicate, and plan effectively to ensure alignment with, and clear understanding of strategic and operational goals of our customers

  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to ensure that workforce plans, vendor management, budget management, customer change management, staff performance management and other internal processes are conducted professionally and in the best interests of our customers, teams, and other stakeholders

  • Keep abreast of technical developments that may have application in the Pharma / biotech industry, and promote the use of those that provide strategic business benefits

  • Govern, prioritize, and deliver a portfolio of projects that are aligned with our business strategy and technology roadmaps

  • Ensure team actiavely manages incidents, service requests, and change queues in compliance with Genentech processes

  • Ability to seamlessly move across IT operational domains including project management, financial analysis, incident management, technical briefings and senior strategic sessions

  • Demonstrates strong commitment to customer satisfaction


Who You Are

Qualifications &
Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a business field, or equivalent experience

  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and influencing skills. Strong leadership and people management skills, inspiring and empowering leadership style

  • Demonstrated experience effectively collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver superior business outcomes

  • 7-12 years IT experience across multiple business areas or technical domains with a track record of introducing new ideas and concepts

  • 3-4 years people management experience

  • Highly customer-focused, with demonstrable stakeholder management experience and passionate about delivering high quality innovative solutions and services that meet business needs, which are readily scalable

  • GxP systems implementation or software development life cycle as well as supporting project and validation methodologies

  • Professional experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and expertise in GxP and regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11

  • A proven track record of running high performing environments, including virtual teams. Innovative, responsible, and reliable with a highly developed strategic mindset

  • Able to contribute at a functional leadership level beyond own immediate area of responsibility with strong communication skills and ability to forge relationships with a wide range of colleagues across the globe

  • Experience in managing change initiatives with the commitment to implement change within the organization

  • Flexibility to travel for up to 20% (both domestic & internationally)

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service

  • Adaptable and flexible to change in a large organization

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
