Human Resources Research Analyst
We have an immediate opportunity with a large Energy Utility company in the San Francisco, CA area.
We are seeking a Human Resources Research Analyst.
Responsibilities:
o Conduct job evaluation and write job descriptions including a clean-up effort of job family summaries.
o Provide compensation analysis, benchmarking, reporting and problem solving in support of the compensation programs.
o Participate in compensation surveys, perform survey job matching, and conduct ad-hoc benchmarking and market research as needed.
o Analyze internal and external compensation data. Prepare analysis, data modeling and cost in support of merit increase budget, salary ranges, annual incentive plan, bargaining unit negotiations, General Rate Case, and regulatory audits.
o Support administration of the annual pay planning process, including system testing and audit reviews and employee data.
o Create internal process documentation and recommend enhancements to existing process and procedures.
Qualifications: Required:
o Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
o 6 years of relevant experience in business administration or data analysis, or combination of advanced degree and experience;
o Must have 2 years compensation or other human resources experience
o Quantitative analysis skills and working knowledge of statistical analysis
Understanding of compensation discrimination legislation including Equal Pay Act, Civil Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family Medical Leave Act
o Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
o Ability to interpret complex data and draw conclusions
Preferred:
o Advanced degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business administration, finance, human resources, industrial organizational psychology)
o Vendor management experience
o Proficiency with Microsoft Access
o Working knowledge of SAP OM, Job Object and related infotypes
o Understanding of compensation implications of the Fair Labor Standards Act
o Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification desired
