The PositionDESCRIPTIONStrategic Analytics & Intelligence (SAI) provides strategic advisory, business guidance, and decision support to senior leadership in Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG).
We do this by partnering across the organization to address complex challenges in the healthcare landscape.

The Manager in SAI is a strategic advisor to key stakeholders and an integral contributor to Genentech s Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG) planning efforts.
As an Individual Contributor, this individual is responsible for providing strategic recommendations with moderate guidance / supervision, leveraging their capabilities in one or more of the following areas of expertise:
Market Research:
qualitative and quantitative research with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem that impact the patient experienceForecasting:
generating revenue and supply forecasts; conducting uncertainty analysesThis specific role requires a mix of Market Research and Forecasting capabilities.
However, all Individual Contributors have the opportunity to blend and extend their expertise on different initiatives to further develop both the breadth and depth of their capabilities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Develop a deep understanding of patients, other customers, and market dynamics, and deliver insights that help the organization drive patient impact.
Help stakeholders define clear, impactful business priorities, and develop action plans.
Design and execute primary and secondary market research, synthesizing the results from the research into actionable recommendations.
Develop sales and manufacturing forecasts, synthesizing insights from partners, primary and secondary data to continuously improve forecast methods and accuracy.
Monitor key performance indicators and prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews to deliver performance updates to senior leadership team.
Apply analytical and statistical methods to answer a variety of business questions using multiple data sources and technical tools.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of promotional efforts, projects, and practices and identify opportunities to optimize value of investments.
Collaborate within cross-functional teams to develop solutions.
Provide an objective, holistic point of view; effectively weigh and communicate trade-off considerations.
Take an enterprise mindset, linking individual responsibilities with broader organization; focus on outcomes that provide most business and patient value.
Act as a thought partner and advisor to all relevant teams and stakeholders; look for and establish opportunities for peer mentorship.
QUALIFICATIONSBachelor s Degree in relevant discipline:
Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Computer or Physical Sciences or related field AND5
years of relevant work experience ORAn equivalent mix of relevant education and work experience is REQUIREDExpertise in designing and fielding qualitative and quantitative primary market research plans.
Experience synthesizing concise summaries focused on the key insights that inform business decisions.
Proficiency in understanding market landscape and surfacing insights across multiple primary data sources.
Experience with revenue forecasting, including patient-flow methods, statistical methods, and uncertainty analysis.
Experience building and improving forecasting models.
Proven track record of leadership, time-management, project management, and teamwork.
Persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
