About the teamStripe's payments products have helped to accelerate many of the world's most innovative companies, and the Payments Methods team owns one of Stripe's most critical workflows, a platform that processes billions of dollars in payments annually.
We see more and more payment methods coming to the Buy Now Pay Later, Wallets, Bank Debits and Bank Transfers space.
These provide more benefits to merchants and enable functionality that was not present before.
These innovations are only increasing as new payment methods come to market each month.
The team is focused on increasing the coverage and adoption of locally preferred payment methods for all our users.
This includes building the payment method platform and the payment method integrations, and working on the adoption funnel to increase usage.
What you'll doWe're looking for an experienced Manager with outstanding technical, program and people management skills.
As a Manager of a team of TPMs, you will support your team members in leading cross-functional initiatives spanning the organization.
You will focus on developing careers, setting guidelines, developing and sharing best practices, and providing hands-on coaching and mentorship for your reports.
You will also act as a TPM on select cross-cutting projects as needed.
You will partner with engineering and product leaders in defining the strategy and roadmap and ensuring that we define and deliver programs to meet our goals.
Responsibilities Build, lead and manage high-performing teams and individuals, across multiple locations, including providing performance reviews, continual feedback, and career growth Define and deliver on long-term vision and multi-year strategy for company-wide programs collaborating with product management and engineering leadership/executives Partner with leaders to set the strategy of the overall group and define the operating model Set the bar for program execution by ensuring teams use optimal and effective operational cadences with consistent communication and proactive risk management Bring technical expertise to bear on program execution Deliver value through strong collaboration with multiple stakeholders across Stripe Mentor and coach managers and senior contributors to create healthy and well-executing cross-functional teams Who you areWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.

Minimum requirements 3
years of management experience of varying seniority, including growing teams, people development 8
years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience Extensive experience in finding and growing talent through coaching, mentoring, and career development conversations Experience driving technical programs from ideation to delivery at scale and leading teams of Technical Program Managers who have done the same Experience operating autonomously and leading across multiple teams, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and thought leadership Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems Experience working on products with a global footprint Preferred qualifications Have successfully built and led large, geographically distributed teams Experience with delivery of highly-available and scalable systems Prior payments domain experience Hybrid work at Stripe Our Chicago, Dublin, and Singapore teams spend at least 50% of their time in their local offices.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
