This critical position will be responsible for providing program management leadership and expertise to support GBT's development programs. As a Director of Program Management, this role will focus primarily on enabling the success of the strategic cross-functional Program Teams and tactical SubTeams, such as operational study teams and regulatory submissions teams. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Translates GBT program strategy into clear action plans, integrating into both short and long-term goals and objectives Partners with the Product Development Lead (PTL) and the Clinical Sub team Lead (CSTL) to define priorities and keep the teams focused and aligned, ensuring that critical project goals are understood by the sub-team representatives, and are implemented appropriately Acts as PM lead on Program initiatives and sub-teams as needed, such as MAA and sNDA readiness, submission team(s) Ensures effective project communications at all levels of the organization. Drives information flow and communicates project status to all stakeholders in collaboration with the CSTL, and sub-teams via oral and written communications In partnership with the PDTL and sub team leads, proactively identifies potential issues and risks and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies, escalating as needed via the Head of Program Management Develops and distributes agendas for meetings, facilitates effective meetings, writes meeting minutes, drives appropriate follow up on action items, and ensures appropriate escalation Helps the PDT, CST and other sub-teams navigate the GBT governance structure Maintains program-level project plan Serves as a resource and mentors other Program Managers as appropriate Leads/supports program management functional initiatives and supports cross-functional initiatives as needed Spearheads additional projects as necessary to fulfill departmental objectives Support PM department vision, resource and budget planning Develops knowledge of current therapeutic environment and drug development trends as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or relevant field. Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MS, MBA, MD) preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training PMP certification a plus Minimum of 10 years in project and/or program management roles of increasing responsibilities Minimum of 7 years managing/leading cross-functional drug development teams within a matrixed pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device organization Preferred:
Regulatory Submission experience; Global experience with all phases of drug development Extensive knowledge of project management principles and practices, including application of project management tools, methodologies, and practices Experienced user and thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Project, One Pager or similar tools to support project planning and pictorial representations Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and lead cross-functional teams Ability to drive project plan and timelines (across multiple functional areas) Proven success in goal setting, driving and operationalization of program strategy, prioritization and time management Experience working with external partners Hematology experience desirable but not required There is the potential for this role to manage other Program Managers Fit with GBT culture:

Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
